I created the Sometimes I Feel resource range as part of my therapy practice. The ‘Sometimes I feel…’ book was created because I couldn’t find a book that helped children learn about different kinds of emotions and how to express them, that was also multi ethnic and culturally appropriate to all children. I wanted to create a resource for educators, counsellors and parents to use with their children. I used the emotions the children were raising within my practice to form the basis of the book.
Sometimes I Feel 1
I began with the book to use for discussion and exploration. I then felt that the flash cards would really assist in having a display on the wall, to use as a tool for checking in and being a tangible object for children to take to heir adult to express how they are feeling. The paper is NON TEARABLE and WIPEABLE, making it more durable and long lasting and the flash cards/poster are laminated on both sides for the same reason.
Book: A4 sized | Flashcards: A6 sized | Poster: A4 sized
Sometimes I Feel 2
Sometimes I Feel 2 follows on from book 1 by addressing emotions experienced by slightly older children, again to develop their emotional intelligence and how to express their feelings. The paper is NON TEARABLE and WIPEABLE, making it more durable and long lasting and the flash cards/poster are laminated on both sides for the same reason.

Calming Cards
Sometimes I Feel… Calming Cards are ways to help your children to cope when they are experiencing overwhelming feelings, such as anger, fear, even getting overly excited. You can have them all up on the wall or offer 2 or 3 choices that you think will help them. Some methods will work better than others or your child may prefer one over another. The cards are full colour, A6 sized laminated to ensure that they are durable even after a lot of use.
Animal Therapy Cards
The cards are full colour, A6 sized laminated to ensure that they are durable even after a lot of use. They can be used to identify different animals with younger children. Or to prompt discussion with older children and adults with conversations such as which animal to you see yourself and why? How do you feel when you look at _______? Which animal would you like to be? Which animal reminds you of your parent, sibling, teacher, friend?
